Paul Callus was born in Ħal Safi, Malta. He is a retired teacher, and has been active in the literary field for around 50 years. He writes poetry, short stories, and lyrics for songs, mostly in English, Maltese. His work has been published in various anthologies, journals and online sites. Three poetry e-books of his are Meander, Moonlight Sonata, and Blind Faith. He is also a translator and proof-reader. Apart from writing, his main hobbies are reading, painting, swimming, sport, and travelling.

She is the sole haiku contributor for MusArt book of Randall Vemer’s paintings. 1st prize winner of the 34th Annual Cherry Blossom Sakura Festival 2020 Haiku Contest. 1st prize winner in the 8th Setouchi Matsuyama 2019 Photo-haiku Contest.
