METAMORPHOSIS

Wrapped in a chrysalis of dreams,
your eternal light
shines in my heart.
The sun streams in and illuminates
the butterfly encased in the dark.

Changing, blossoming in nature's womb,
growing wings of promise and desire,
I emerge from the garden
in full bloom,
with a blissful spirit of passion and fire.

No longer earthbound, hidden or confined,
I sail amidst the wildflowers 
with golden wings.
Rejoicing in the magic
of two souls entwined;
laughter and hope this moment brings.

Your kiss is like the perfumed rose
and days of isolation
have turned to grace.
I dance in the wind,
and flutter in your imagination.
I'm forever in the blessing of your embrace.

Reborn in a colorful world anew,
how I waited faithfully,
delighting in the joy
of your transforming touch,
that slowly revealed heaven's beauty!
