SHORT POEM
VENUS FLY TRAP
by Tymber Aldaine

I remember when these walls rained white. If it made a sound, I bet it would mimic —television static —A soundwave, a flatline; white noise. Well, it's a blank sheet of paper, really —life is. It's how you capture and frame it. It's a landscape you can fill endlessly, a drafting table, to shape realities. Our mind is limited to how we perceive things. Its reach only relies on our thumbs. That's why everybody should paint theirs green. It is only we who determine its extent. Simply, Imagination and creativity hold no rules. Let it breathe. Don't leave it; live it. Besides, aren't we all just writing to explain the complicated science of life with our very own words? Yes! Exactly, Poetry. See! I have a sound mind. Now, take off this ridiculous jacket, before my guests think we're crazy.
