Celebrating Poets – Denise Carruthers

Hola!

Today, I came across the blog of one of my favourite poets on Twitter, a wonderful lady with a heart of gold. I have known her for a long time but I didn’t know she had a blog here, and what caught me instantly was her ‘About’ page. Great impact from the word go! I have never seen such beautiful simplicity in speaking about one’s own self.

Welcome Denise Carruthers… and enjoy her magic!

About

I’m autumn years with winter closing.
Life undressed me.
What leaves gains rhythm.
As writes,
Dirges for my destiny.
Urging me to tell my tale.
Before that swan sings grace.
Let me my pen;
Flow as to flower
As seasons to spice.
Salt holds my lot & makes my reason
To live
