SHORT POEM

FLOATING GHOSTS
by Linette Rabsatt

An old wooden boat floating

nature’s resilience
no small feat
a wooden boat
sails on forever with no captain
remnants of beings
bring forth new life
one seed thrives to replicate

red daisies sail quietly
almost luminescent
cycle of life evidence
floating shadows
casual encounter
with ghosts of the past
