Grammarian- Inflectional Suffix

Inflectional suffix

A suffix is a letter or a group of letters added at the end of a word in order to form a new word. Suffixes may to referred to as bound morphemes as they are not meaningful words that can exist independently.

When a suffix changes only the form of a word and does not create a new word or change the meaning of the existing word, it is called an inflectional suffix.

Examples of inflectional suffixes:

Laugh, laughs, laughing, laughed.

High, higher, highest.

Reflect, reflecting, reflected.

We all use inflectional suffixes in our work. When you do so, post the link in the comments. Inspire us with your creativity!
