Are you worried about age stealing your beauty?
Have you ever wondered if the passing years are in some way diminishing you as a person?
I too have fallen prey to that at times. Most often, we worry about our age showing on our faces. Every wrinkle can become a source of anxiety and we are scared that we lose value because we don’t look good enough.
But all is not lost! Research has shown that people begin to worry less about their looks, relationships and even finances as they grow older and pass the golden age of 50.
Whether each one of us will reach that blessed state of un-worriedness or not is something only time can tell. However, the anxious thoughts of the human mind have birthed many a poem. Mine too!
I am a firm believer in the creative potential of adversity. I am even guilty of sometimes catching myself thinking, “Its okay that I cried. At least it got me a poem!”
For now, watch the ponderings of my mind as it navigates through the labyrinths of anxiety that each passing year brings. Do you relate to some of it too?

A fascinating question, Mona. I love how the concept of beauty changes as we get older. As you say well, “…people begin to worry less about their looks…”. I am over 60 and grateful for every day. Birthdays are a privilege. Thank you for a thought-provoking post. Erica

So glad you like it! I am not quite there yet, but I do feel a kind of freedom and confidence that comes after the so-called middle age is gone. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this, Erica. ♥

Lovely thoughts Mona.
Anyway we’re aging and going against the flow of life won’t change it! The Best I think is to embrace the now. And whatever is showing on our face and bodies should be the result of a good life well lived!

True! The marks are simply the moments we have lived, why rage against them!
Thank you for sharing your lovely thoughts ♥

My mom says, every line on her face started out as a smile. I choose to age with grace, as she does
